Pianist Rowell Lieberman, a composer himself, takes up the challenge of performing the works of contemporary British composer David Hackbridge Johnson. Hackbridge-Johnson began composing at the age of 11, and has published symphonies, orchestral and chamber works, and a large number of vocal and choral works. Nocturne No. 7 "The Devil's Lilah" on this album was inspired by Lieberman's album "Personal Demons" (STNS-30172), which he recorded for the STEINWAY label. Naxos Japan
