Participation of Piau! A collection of songs centered on poems born from his impressions in Shikoku, JapanBorn in Oregon, USA, David Tepfer is now a writer active in France. This album features his masterpiece "Shikoku," which was born from the experience of touring the Shimanami Kaido in Japan with his wife by bicycle, as well as songs based on the poems and piano pieces born from those impressions. The music is composed by Joanne Farjo, pianist with Ensemble Contrast. French diva Piau sings the song cycle "Lovescapes" (about 23 minutes), and Rosemary Standley, a singer whose repertoire includes pop songs from the mid-19th century, narrates, and was the solo violinist of the Orchestre National de la Capitole de Toulouse for 10 years until 2017 Geneviève Loransaud, and Mathilde Cardellini, the 2013 winner of the Kobe International Flute Competition, are also participating.
