Florence-born keyboardist Alessandra Artifoni was interested in ancient music performance from an early age, and after studying harpsichord, organ, and improvisation in Italy, she studied basso continuo and ensemble at the Schola Cantorum Basel, and attended master classes with Gustav Leonhardt, David Moloney, and Andreas Steier, He attended master classes with Gustav Leonhardt, David Moloney, Andreas Steyer, and others. He then returned to Italy to work as a soloist and bass continuo player. He has been invited to participate in both Italian and French classical music ensembles, as well as contemporary instrumental operas and orchestras, such as the Florence May Festival. The current album centers around the contrasting masterpieces, "Italian Concerto" and "French Overture," which were released at the same time, and includes a concerto (BWV 971) and church sonata (BWV 964) of Italian origin, a suite of court dances of French origin (BWV 831), and a fantasy with counterpoint developed in Germany (BWV Bach's versatility is evident in his mastery of the styles typical of the European countries of the time: the Court Dance Suite (BWV 964), which originates in France, and the Fantasy (BWV 904), which incorporates German counterpoint.
