This collection of works commemorates the 60th anniversary of the birth of Belgian composer Claude Ledoux, who is also known for his research on Japanese and other Asian music. This collection includes works spanning a period of about 30 years, during which time he also composed the subjects for the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition. Among his many piano works, I have selected the pieces that most synchronize with my heart. His piano works are superbly crafted, yet they are sensitive contemporary pieces that strongly appeal to the heart. Always conscious of time and space, his music stimulates the senses with its three-dimensional composition of sounds, various colors, and sometimes even fragrance.
