This is an attempt to perform on guitar the famous songs of Kim Larsen (1945-2018), a rock star who was active as a singer from the 1970s, produced many hit songs, and was loved as a national artist in Denmark. Jesper Sievebek, a guitarist who is currently a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen, has been an admirer of Andres Segovia and Kim Larsen since he was young, and for more than a decade now, he has been developing the idea for this album of Larsen songs played on guitar. In his arrangements of Larsen's songs, Sievebek makes the most of the sound that the guitar produces and transfers the simple beauty of Larsen's songs to solo guitar pieces, just as Britten and Bartok arranged various folk songs into instrumental and vocal pieces.
