The promising young dancer Ruka Akuri elicits laughter with her humorous performance, simultaneously playing the roles of her friend Sinclair and his dog. *Raymonda, Act III* is a work in which Nureyev extracted only Act III—the highlight of *Raymonda*—and choreographed it as a one-act *Divertissement*, making it a long-beloved part of the Royal Ballet’s repertoire.
