The Klangkollektif Wien was formed by Remy Barrow, a conductor who has made a name for himself with his numerous Bruckner recordings, and a group of virtuoso musicians from Vienna's forefront orchestras. The orchestra's debut recording, Schubert's "Unfinished & No. 1" (GRAM99180), was highly acclaimed for its performance of Schubert's symphonies, which "met the music of the Viennese classics head-on with modern instruments and carefully conveyed its stylistic beauty," as is their philosophy. The second work featured Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 and "Egmont Overture," which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth in 2020.
