Description:
This duo album by French violinist Kifer and Russian-American pianist Moutzkin features stunning performances of works by "French-Ravel" and "Russian-Stravinsky," two of their roots. Kieffer graduated from the Paris Conservatory at the age of 17, has performed at music festivals around the country, and is teaching at the Manhattan School of Music starting in 2019. Moutzkin is a pianist who has won many prizes in various competitions, including the Rubinstein International Competition, and has made a name for himself performing with orchestras and giving recitals. He recently performed Brahms' Piano Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, which attracted much attention. He is also known as an arranger, and his arrangement of "The Firebird" on this album showcases the full range of his talent, with his own arrangements of the violin and piano. Naxos Japan
