[Janss in action! Poschner's slapstick comedy of Offenbach's last years】Markus Poschner, born in Munich in 1971, presents a comedy of Offenbach's last years. Veronique Janss plays an important role, as well as Chantal Santon-Jeffrey, Tasis Christoyannis, and other young and veteran members of the BRU ZANE label and the French Opera. Manoella, the daughter of Peronila, a famous chocolate maker in Madrid, is to marry Don Gardona, an old man, but due to the machinations of Peronila's sister Leona, soldier Lipardos, and notary secretary Frimoschino, the young and talented musician Alvarez (played by a soprano) is replaced as the groom. The scene is disrupted when the young and talented musician Alvarez (played by a soprano) is replaced as groom. In the end, Manoella and Alvarez, Leona and Don Gardona are married and happily ever after. The overture is only occasionally performed today, but here it is vividly and charmingly portrayed.
