A collection of keyboard works by Franz Xaver Wolfgang, Mozart's fourth and youngest son. It is performed on fortepiano, played by Kadazina Dorogos. When he was four months old, his father, Wolfgang, died, and although he did not receive direct education, he studied with Hummel, who had learned piano from his father, and Salieri. Salieri, in particular, left a favorable comment about him, saying that he was "as talented as his father. Franz is not often noticed in the history of music because of his father's greatness, but from the time of his early "Rondo in F major", we can see his unique and attractive style that broke away from the influence of his father's Mozart and Haydn. The fourth movement of the Sonata in G major, which was written when he was 16 years old, is an ambitious work that incorporates dances and other pieces popular at the time, with a faint Beethovenian influence. Op.20 is a world premiere recording of a copy of the first manuscript recently discovered in the Austrian National Library, and is a variation on a Russian theme, which is typical of the composer who has been attracted to Slavic and Russian melodies since his days in Löhmberg.
