The long-awaited new album by Le Poème Armonique, France's premier old music ensemble, which has been a driving force behind the Alpha label since its inception. ...... is the first new authentic Italian Baroque recording in a long time. This is a new recording. The main program is Allegri's "Miserere" - a work known to have been kept out of the public domain until Mozart memorized and transcribed it, and as the ensemble tries to get as close as possible to the original sound of the work as it was written in the 17th century, it soon becomes clear that the program is not only a recording of the work, but also a recording of a performance of the work as it was written in the 17th century. The program will then move on to the world of composers from Rome, the greatest musical center of the early Italian Baroque. The subtle chromatic scale and metaphorical use of sound is surprisingly sensual, and the fascinating sound world peculiar to the early Baroque, which stirs the spirit of faith with its luscious sound, can be fully appreciated by the listener's firsthand senses.Since its recording debut, Le Poème Armonique has focused on exploring the unknown sound world of the early Italian Baroque, and with "Nova Metamorphosi" (2003), has delved into the unique world of 17th century Milanese a capella church music. In addition to the instrumentalists who have been his friends for many years such as Benoit Arnoux and Jan van Elsackel, there are also soloists such as Eva Zajcik, who has been making remarkable progress in recent years!
