Until recently, there were only a few recordings of the first draft version of the "Paganini Grande Exercise," the "Paganini Exercises for Superlative Technique. Schumann described it as "the most difficult work ever written for the piano," but recently young pianists have been taking up the challenge, and their performances are not only superb, but also unique. In this album, Elisa Tomellini took on the challenge of playing the first draft of the work. This is the first recording by a woman. She has been studying piano since she was 5 years old, entered the "Incontri Col Maestro" of the Musical Academy of Imola at the age of 16, and graduated from the Verdi Conservatory in Milan in 1997, and is an internationally active pianist.
