The charismatic Steve Sylvester's occult, horror, and dark metal band from Italy makes its debut in Japan! Formed in Italy in 1977 by Steve Sylvester (vo), DEATH SS began as a five-piece band that incorporated occult, horror, eroticism, etc. While influenced by the "punk movement" that swept the world in 1977, the band's musical skills are highly skilled, and they have developed a style that plays with a heavy sound and set characters. The band developed a style of playing a set character and a sound with high musical skill despite the influence of the "punk movement" that swept the world at that time in 1977. The band's name "DEATH SS" was literally chosen to signify the symbolic "death" of the human condition, meaning the death of Steve Sylvester, and its rebirth initiated in the light of the occult. The original band broke up once in 1982, although they developed a cult following a few years later with their sensational and theatrical shows that also had aspects of being the originators of epic/death/black metal. However, in 1988, the band reunited with Sylvester at the core and released their first album "In DEATH of Steve Sylvester". Although the band members changed except for Sylvester, the band has released 10 studio albums intermittently so far. After the "X" album in 2021, the band underwent another major member change, and the current members have come together to produce their 11th album, "The Entity".The band has teamed up with British producer Tom Dalgety, who has worked with RAMMSTEIN and GHOST, to produce this masterpiece, a horror concept album about a doppelganger. The sound of this album is easy to understand and catchy shock rock, reminiscent of Alice Cooper, the very originator of this kind of music. This is the first Japanese release of this album in a special jacket with a booklet. Includes a bonus track for the Japanese edition.
