In commemoration of the US Rock scene's heavyweight Pixies' Japan tour, four classic early albums are being re-released all at once! Four early albums by the Pixies, a leading band in the US Rock scene, will be re-released to commemorate the band's visit to Japan! With their first album, "Surfer Rosa," produced by Steve Albini, the Pixies established a unique style that encompassed stillness and movement, humor and madness. Their second album, "Doolittle," combined pop melodies and artistry, propelling them from cult status to the core of the scene, and their third album, "Bossanova," took them in a new direction, incorporating surf rock and cosmic themes. Then, with their fourth album, "Trompe Le Monde," released in 1991, the Pixies embodied innovation and radicalism in a challenging and highly accomplished body of work just prior to the band's breakup.Each of these four albums has a different appeal, but they are truly a monumental catalog that has had a decisive influence on alternative rock since the 1990s! The origin that marked the beginning of the alternative scene Legendary debut album born between destruction and silence The debut album by the Pixies, one of the most important bands of the early US alternative/grunge movement, formed in Boston in 1986. The album, released in 1988, was produced by the late Steve Albini, and presented an eccentric and catchy sound that was distinctly different from the guitar bands of the post-New Wave era. The unique dynamism created by the roaring guitars, Black Francis' shouts, and Kim Diehl's floating chorus shook the entire alternative scene of the 1990s, including Nirvana, to its very core. Also included on this CD is the 1987 mini-album "Come On Pilgrim.It is a historical masterpiece that cuts through time, proving that the Pixies had already perfected their atypical aesthetic from their debut. *Title/contents differ between CD and LP; CD includes additional tracks from "Come On Pilgrim".
