Fontaines D.C.'s 2024 hit album "Romance" is now available on limited quantity colored vinyl with bonus 7"! Fontaine's D.C., a very popular rock band from Dublin, Ireland, released their fourth album "Romance" in August 2024 after moving to XL Recordings, and now it is released on color vinyl with a bonus 7". The album was released on colored vinyl with a bonus 7-inch, and was also released with a Japanese obi and an enclosed instruction manual. Produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Depeche Mode, etc.), this is the band's first album, and their most confident, original, and sonically adventurous to date. Fontaines D.C., now a London-based band, released their album "Skinty Fia" in 2022, which debuted at #1 in the UK and Ireland album charts and won numerous awards, including "International Group of the Year" at the 2023 Brit Awards. The group won a number of awards, including "International Group of the Year" at the 2023 Brit Awards.This album was born on the heels of that success. The preceding and explosive single "Starburster" was inspired by lead vocalist Grian Chatten's experience of a panic attack at London's St. Pancras station. This album is the culmination of an idea that has been warming up since the release of "Skinty Fia" in 2022. This idea crystallized during their time touring the United States and Mexico with the Arctic Monkeys, where the five band members shared a variety of music and found connections with different artists that influenced them to build their own vast creative universe.In other words, the attitude and aesthetic of Shy Girl and Sega Bodega, and the gritty sound palette of hip-hop and heavy metal like Mos Def, Asap Ferg, Outkast, and Korn. .... The band's sound, which laid bare a rebellious punk sensibility on its earlier albums, has been elevated to more grungy breaks, dystopian electronica, hip-hop-tinged percussion, and dreamy, slow-dive-like textures that will probably surprise fans. The shoegaze elements first expressed in "Skinty Fia" are spread out like purple bruises in the new album "Romance". On the eve of its release, Chatten says, "With this album, I'm telling you something I haven't been able to say for a long time now. It doesn't feel like it's the last at all, but it feels good to be lighter."
