Hanawa Masaki
Description:
First album by up-and-coming artist Masataka Hanawa. With his roots in jazz as his core, Hanawa takes on a variety of genre-defying expressions. He creates a new musical experience that integrates with the sounds of the space and melts into the listener's everyday life. This is the long-awaited first album by up-and-coming young artist Masataka Hanawa. Focusing on the boundaries between "silence," "sound," and "music," and how they are related and connected, Hanawa has put together an album that expresses his daily questions and wishes for peace. With Koichi Sato (p), Yuka Konishi (b), and Shinya Fukumori (d) as members, the band develops freely and flexibly without being bound by conventional wisdom, from solos to quartets to 11-track overdubs. With the world's premier recording studio T-Toc Studio and engineer Takaaki Kaneno on their side, they have successfully expressed the thematic events in a more natural and direct manner by taking on the challenge of modern methods of expression. The refined tones of the four musicians are integrated with the sounds of the space, creating a new musical experience that makes the listener feel as if they are melting into the everyday life of the listener.People have different feelings and attitudes toward music, and it is one of the most frequently discussed topics. Some people consider the sound of a murmuring river or the twittering of birds to be music, while others consider music to be music only when it has a certain pulse or beat. On the other hand, there are those who say that even if a piece of music is played with many instruments, it is not music. In this day and age, where sound is everywhere and we can access any sound we want anytime, anywhere, we ask the listener what kind of act it is to "appreciate music.
