Goko Fujii's Tokyo Trio, which goes beyond the boundaries of a piano trio, has been further deepened by the addition of two of Japan's leading contemporary rhythm section members, Takashi Sugawa and Kazutetsu Takemura, for their first studio recording in Paris, France, during their third European tour. This is the first studio recording for the trio. The studio is Studio Sextan, where they recorded "Yama Kawa Umi" with Natsuki Tamura (tp) and Ramon Lopez (ds) the previous year in 2023. The sound resolution and the resonance of the piano are outstanding, and the performance is full of life. Throughout this tour, the trio attracted the attention of foreign music journalists and was introduced to the media with great acclaim. (C)RS
