The electronica trio from Ghostly International, whose re-release of DUSKER (2007) in 2016 was a smash hit among Japanese electronica listeners, has finally completed their first new album in seven years amidst the growing reevaluation of IDM and electronica! Kiln, a Michigan trio that has released music on a variety of labels and is secretly popular in the electronic music scene, has released their first new album in seven years on their current label, Ghostly Interinational. The organic sound style of this new album is still the same, but it has evolved even further. The album is a cross fade of electronica, ambient, post rock, and shoegaze, with a downtempo base, interweaving electronics and acoustics such as guitars, keyboards, and sampling, and accents such as glitch noise, all fused together in just the right balance. The comfort and groove of the sound will inevitably gain wide support beyond the boundaries of genres.Astral Welder" is an electro-charged gallery of propulsion and abladed tones, a rotating constellation of eleven constellations of power, groove, and color that infuse the listener with a sense of the present.
