Crypta, the pride of Brazil's all-female death metal band, has released its long-awaited second album! Once again, the band delivers authentic old-school death metal that is sure to make fans all over the world swoon. The album was mastered by master Jens Bogren, and includes a Japanese language manual and lyrics. The band's Japanese-language instruction manual is enclosed, and a bonus track is included only for the Japanese edition. Originally formed by former members of Nervosa and Burning Witches, the band made its album debut in 2009 with "Echoes of the Soul. Unlike their former band, they played old-school death metal with a sloppy, sludgy sound that caught the hearts of fans all over the world. They are now releasing their long-awaited new album. The album, titled "Shades of Sorrow," features a new Brazilian guitarist, Jessica Falchi, who replaces Sonia, formerly of Burning Witches, who left the band. The Crypta lineup is now all Brazilian. (Sonia is Dutch.) This quasi-concept album, themed on "the battle against the pain we sometimes have to go through in our lives," is also bursting with eerie, dark, and emotional death metal. It is hard to believe that the band members are so young and old-school, which is a result of their Brazilian blood. If you like the style of death metal of the late 80's and 90's, Crypta is a must-listen! The mastering was done by master Jens Bogren.
