Welcome back! Swedish rockers The Hellacopters. After disbanding in 2008, they are back and releasing their first new album in 14 years! Lyrics, bilingual translation, and commentary are included. The Hellacopters have reunited often for live shows since their breakup in 2008, and now they are releasing a new album for the first time in 14 years! The members are led by Nicke, who has also been active in Imperial State Electric and Lucifer, Robert, Boba, and Dregen, who was an early member of the band, are back. Live, Dolph from THE DATSUNS, who has been working with Nikke in Imperial State Electric, will join the band! Swedish bombastic rockers THE HELLACOPTERS were formed in '94. BACKYARD BABIES with Dregen (G) and ENTOMBED with Nikke (Vo/G) got together in '91 at a festival in Stockholm, as they were both big KISS fans. They hit it off and started talking about starting a new project. They met in 1991, and in 1994, together with Kenny (B) and Robert (Ds), they started a band named after the headline "THE HELLACOPTERS" that appeared in a newspaper article.In June '96, their first album "SUPERSHITTY TO THE MAX!" was released and was widely featured in the UK's Kerrang! magazine and Germany's Metal Hammer magazine, and their presence began to spread throughout the European rock scene. The album received more acclaim than expected, including a Swedish Grammy-like award, and the band toured as THE HELLACOPTERS, opening for KISS in Sweden in June '97. In January '98, their first and second albums were released simultaneously in Japan. Around this time, Nikke announced his departure from ENTOMBED to concentrate on THE HELLACOPTERS. The group continued to perform well, but in April of the same year, Dregen left the group because he became busy with his own band, BACKYARD BABIES. After several member changes, they released their third album "GRAND ROCK" in May 1999 with Anders Boba Lindstrom on piano as an official member. Robert Dahlqvist (G) joined the band from the tour that accompanied this album, and the band members were fixed.In February 2008, they released their seventh and final album, "Head Off," and in October 2008, they played a breakup show in their hometown of Sweden, bringing an end to their activities. In April 2022, they will release their first new album in 14 years, "Eyes of Oblivion," featuring Nikke, Robert, and Boba, plus Dregen, an early member of the band. THE HELLACOPTERS are :.
