This is a solo masterpiece with all original compositions! This is the fourth solo album (technically the fifth) by Scott Walker of the Walker Brothers, an American pop trio that enjoyed great success in the U.K. and became very popular in Japan as well. It was released in 1969 under the production of John Frantz. Although this album was a chart failure among Scott's series of solo albums, perhaps due to the fact that it was released under his real name, Scott Engel, it can be said to be the perfection of his own style, with its well-honed sound arrangements, large scale vocals, and all original compositions. The content of the album was highly acclaimed in later years, and it is often cited as the best work of his solo career, a massive and rewarding work. Bonus track "Memories of Cincinnati," a single not included on the album, is also included. Includes obi commentary. Commentary: Toru Ueshiba
