＜The 50th issue of the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" reissue series, supervised by Jimmy Masuko and presented by All Days Records, is a two-disc set covering the best of Sweden's famous Mersey Beat style bands! It is well known that Sweden was a treasure trove of beat bands in the mid-1960s. The Mascots, a band of music school students who followed in the footsteps of The Hep Stars, The Toges, The Shaines, and others, charted with their high quality original songs influenced by The Beatles and The Zombies. Although not as well known in Japan due to lack of promotion in the U.K., their Mersey Beat style songs with beautiful chorus work like The Hollies should be reevaluated. Commentary: Jimmy Masuko
