His ornate orchestral sound with a large string ensemble is one of his greatest attractions, but the relatively small "Stanley Black, Piano and Latin Rhythms" (hereafter referred to as "Latin Rhythms"), which includes percussion, offers a more edgy sound image. This album is the latter unit's lighthearted interpretation of Japanese compositions.
