For rock fans who love jazz and beatniks: ....... Steely Dan, the most distinctive pop-rock unit to come out of 1970s America. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker were both teenagers who loved jazz and beatniks, but they were also baptized in early rock 'n' roll and grew up with influences from folk and Chicago blues. They were known as avid jazz fans, listening to Symphony Sid's jazz program on a Manhattan radio station and listening to a number of jazz records (including Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Sonny Rollins, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, etc.). He was listening to jazz records (most of which were made before 1965). In order to get closer to the unit's roots, we have carefully collected works from various genres ranging from jazz, blues, R&B, pop, bossa nova, reggae, etc., referring to the sound sources and statements they left behind, and selected and composed the songs with our own unique perspective.This interesting roots music will make you feel differently about Steely Dan's work, which you are already familiar with. This album is dedicated to all rock fans who love jazz and beatniks.
