＜The 32nd installment of the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" reissue series, supervised by Jimmy Masuko and presented by All Days Records, features the R&B-crazed Pretty Things from Australia, The Prithers! The Beatles' popularity exploded in New Zealand in 1964, and many garage bands were formed. The loud, always drunk, ugly, long-haired, destructive "worst band ever" burned down the stage and were deported, shocking bored teenagers. Chants R&B, Breakaways, Larry's Level, Dark Ages, and other Pretty's-influenced bands appeared on the scene, and the Prisers, who came from Australia at the same time, were part of the R&B-crazed Pretty's. Not all of the recordings are wild, due to the label's efforts to make them seem like a harmless band, but you can get a sense of their charm from these recordings.
