"Doctor Jazz"—a legendary 1996 session album by Ben Sidran released on the "GOJAZZ" label—is now available in a domestic-spec edition with All Days Records obi notes! *Please note that this is a standard domestic-spec import edition with obi notes; it does not include a paper sleeve. "Dr. Jazz" = Ben Sidran. This album was released in 1996 on his own label, "GOJAZZ." It features a group of musicians connected to Ben, delivering a funky jazz sound. Centered around original compositions, this relaxed session album also includes standards such as "Sentimental Journey" and "Walk Right In." Ben Sidran, known as “Dr. Jazz,” was born in Chicago in 1943. He grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison. There, he met Steve Miller and Boz Scaggs, with whom he formed The Ardells and began performing. He later joined the Steve Miller Band. His playing can be heard on albums such as *Brave New World* (released in 1969) and *Recall the Beginning... A Journey from Eden* (1972). His solo career began in 1971 with the release of his first solo album, *Feel Your Groove*. It was an ambitious work—self-produced and featuring all original songs—that captivated fans ranging from free soul to AOR with its sophisticated sound, not to mention his vocals and keyboard playing influenced by Moose Allison. He continued to release albums almost every year, including *I Lead a Life*, *Puttin' in Time on Planet Earth*, and *Don't Let Go*, and in 1990, he released *Cool Paradise* on his own label, "GOJAZZ."
