A beautiful fantasy world depicted by a talented UK trad singer Faye Heald, who has been singing British trad songs with her organic and pure voice, and at the same time writing original songs that show her deep knowledge of trad. Faye Heald, a British folk singer, has released her first new album in four years. After working with folk a cappella groups BACCApella and The Witches of Elswick, she made her solo debut in 2010 and has been teaching ethnomusicology and music management at the University of Sheffield since 2012. Faye has also been teaching ethnomusicology and music management at the University of Sheffield since 2012. In 2019, she celebrates her 20th anniversary as the core member of the folk group "Bellowhead," whose first solo album, "Looking Glass" (TPSI-23021), released in 2010, was highly acclaimed for its festive live performances and gained popularity, Her husband, John Bowden, who is also known as a key figure in the current UK folk scene, joined the band as a fiddle player and co-producer. Her beautiful voice is accompanied by fiddle, concertina, nyckelharpa, and other acrostic instruments, resulting in a simple, traditional arrangement that leaves a strong impression.And 2012's "Orfeo" (TPSI-1820), released under the name Faye Heald & the Hurricane Party, features the aforementioned John Borden, as well as a cast of skilled musicians including accordionist Andy Cutting, concertina and fiddle player Robert Herbron, and marti stringed instrument and Marti stringed instrument player Sam Sweeney. The album also features special guest Martin Simpson, a leading figure in the UK folk scene, and has created quite a stir. Their latest album, "Rackline," is a very magical album that, as before, balances traditional and original songs, and focuses on the themes of magic, mythology, and mysticism as told in traditional songs ......, especially in old ballads. The album is a very fantastical piece of music. The members of this year's group, led by Faye on vocals/banjo/percussion, are Robert Herbron (concertina/guitar/harmonium/percussion/vocals), Ben Nichols (double bass/vocals), Sam Sweeney (fiddle/viola/ Ivan McPherson (mouth harp/vocals) joins three familiar band mates from her 2013 special group, The Full English, who are also regulars in her work.The overall arrangement is static and lyrical, and her clear voice is especially beautiful. Starting with [1], a song about witch-hunting, the album is an imaginative series of numbers that tell fairy tales, ghosts, and animal kingdoms, including [9], a beautiful trad song with sophisticated harmonies created by her voice, banjo, and viola.
