Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) is still one of the top bands in the Italian rock scene. The album includes the live performance in 2003 with Mauro Pagani, who was a key member of the band in the early days, and is now available as a UHQCD+DVD! After several years of inactivity, PFM restarted and successfully completed their first tour in Japan in 27 years. The band, energized, next chose to play a concert in Piazza del Campo, a famous landmark in Siena, Tuscany. They decided to perform with Mauro Pagani, who had not performed with the band for a long time. It was a true encounter between PFM and Pagani. The performance started with "Life Is Like A River" from "Photos Of Ghosts. Mauro Pagani's vocals can be heard for the first time in decades in "Hans' Carriage," which was recorded on his debut album. The highlight of the second half is "Siena Violin Jam," a jam number that runs with the intense technique and imaginative improvisation characteristic of PFM.After a moment of silence, led by Patrick Zivas on bass and Valter Cagloni on percussion, Mauro Pagani soloed to end the main program with Rossini's "William Tell Overture," which can be said to be one of his best-known works. The concert ended with "A Time for Celebration," one of their early hits. It had been 30 years since the opening of "The World Became The World" Tour (1974), when the five members greeted the audience shoulder to shoulder.
