Mobile Suit Gundam," which will celebrate 40 years of broadcasting in 2019, has created a huge movement called the "Gundam Series" through the development of various works, and continues to create new fans even now. SUGIZO, who knew the series when it was broadcast and still professes to be an ardent fan, has been appointed as the overall music producer for the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project," and will produce and produce the OP and ED themes for the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: The Night Before the Red Comet" and the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project" commemorative theme songs. These songs have been compiled into a single album, which also includes gem cover songs by a wide range of artists assembled for this album. It is a dream come true for the Gundam series, which is loved by all generations. [Disc 2] includes the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" Song Best CD (8 songs/6 theme songs + 2 insert songs), and the Blu-ray includes "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: The Night Before The Red Comet" OP/ED videos and more. A special booklet (featuring interviews with the participating artists) is enclosed. [The "Limited Edition THE ORIGIN Special Edition" includes a jacket newly illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, which is sure to please fans.
