Released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Debussy's death, this album is a combination of the composer's masterpiece "Images" (two collections), of which he himself was satisfied with the quality, "The Domain of the Child" dedicated to his beloved daughter Claude-Emma (nicknamed Chou-Chou), and "Masks" with its charming esoteric and mysterious atmosphere. Medjieva breathes new life into Debussy's works with her colorful touch, delicate pedaling, and life-like rhythms. The instrument used was a 1967 New York Steinway owned by Nippon Piano Service Co. Please enjoy the mellow sound drawn from this famous instrument of yesteryear.
