Bronski Beat, one of the leading synth-pop acts of 1980s Britain, sees their second album, *Truth or Dare*, get its long-awaited first reissue to mark its 40th anniversary! Bronkski Beat caused a sensation with their hit “Small Town Boy” and quickly became one of the most popular acts on the 1980s UK music scene. This album is the group’s second release, following *Age of Consent*. With John Foster taking over vocal duties from Jimmy Somerville, the album was originally released in 1986 on London Records. The single “Hit That Perfect Beat” peaked at No. 3 on the UK charts. The tropical-flavored funk classic “C’Mon! C’Mon!” and the swinging title track “Truth Dare Double Dare” still sound incredibly fresh today! A triumphant work that broke new ground by featuring live instrumentation more prominently than on previous albums, all while maintaining their trademark sophisticated synth sound and political stance as activists, paired with a light, danceable beat. This marks the first reissue 40 years after the original release. All tracks have been remastered. The CD edition also includes new remixes by I Jordan and Ted Kauffrey.
