2024 is the latest album by Murkoff, a Barcelona-based Mexican electronic music artist known for his releases on the Reef label and his collaborations with Eric Trafas. This is a definitive milestone work that opens up the next level of his career spanning a quarter of a century! Since the 2000s, the Barcelona-based Mexican electronic music artist Murkoff has freely crossed borders between electronica, jazz, and post-classical music, and his unique activities have earned him a solid following among avid music fans. His latest album "Twin Color" will be released in 2024 on InFine, an up-and-coming crossover label in Paris. Twin Color" is a collaborative project with Belgian filmmaker Simon Geilhus, which started in 2020. The project is an immersive and unique world that links music, video, and sound, and was premiered as an audio-visual work at the MUTEK art festival in Montreal in 2024. From the opening track "Going Home," which features a fantastical female voice, the album transports the listener to a mysterious world of unknowns with a sound that is thicker and richer than ever before. The album is full of unique soundscapes that are both futuristic and nostalgic, with a solemn, inexpressible, and cosmic sense of floating that is pleasant to listen to.
