A full-length album by "Modern Minimal Sound Research", a unique project that pursues the limits of minimal techno with the smallest number of sounds. The album is an excessively stoic minimalist sonic ecstasy with a tight structure that has been thoroughly stripped down to the bare essentials, and a few embellishments! Modern Minimal Sound Research is a unique side project dedicated to the pursuit of minimalism by Rico Puester, a German artist who has released on such prestigious labels as Cocoon and Dirtybird. The project started in 2021, and has been consistently releasing singles on digital and vinyl, creating a buzz.The long-awaited first album "17" is finally completed. Starting with the single cut M(4),(9), and (14), each track has a very small number of notes and plenty of gaps, and the inorganic repetitions are skillfully interspersed with jittery hi-hats and unexpected micro-melodies to create a structure that is just on the edge. The bold production bursts forth as only a veteran who knows the floor can. This groundbreaking release challenges the limits of dance music and minimal sounds.
