Into the deep forest of German songs Akie Amaha sings Schumann's love and its end This is the second solo album by Akie Amaha, a soprano who has appeared at opera houses in Berlin and Dresden, and in recent years has earned high acclaim as a Lieder singer. She invites the listener into the deep forest of German songs with Schumann's masterpiece, "Auf der Lieder und Lieder" (A Woman's Love and Life), and the "Lenau Lieder", a masterpiece from Schumann's later years. In "A Woman's Love and Life," Schumann sets himself the image of an ideal husband, and expresses his wish to be an irreplaceable figure to Klara. In reality, however, he suffered financially and had to rely on his wife. In the "Löhnau Lieder" written ten years later, he describes the end of his love and his anguish, and entrusts his own frustration to poetry. Both works are a pair of self-portraits reflecting hope and despair, the light and shadow of marriage. The piano is played by Sigmund Jelset, who is well known for his sensitive and deep tone. ＜Akie Amaha (soprano) Akie Amaha is a soprano singer who has won high acclaim both at home and abroad for her lyrical voice.In the same year, she made her European debut at the Rheinsberg Festival, known as a gateway to success for newcomers, singing Zerbinetta from "Ariadne on Naxos" with Christian Thielemann conducting. She won the first prize at the 3rd Queen Sonia Norway Memorial International Music Competition. Since then, based in Germany, she has appeared in numerous operas at opera houses and festivals throughout Europe, including the Saxon State Opera, Berlin's Komische Oper, and others. In Japan, she has appeared as a soloist at the New National Theatre, Suntory Hall Hall Opera, and subscription concerts of major orchestras. He is a member of the board of directors of Tokyo Opera NEXT. She is actively involved in opera awareness activities by supporting young singers and producing opera performances with commentary.
