PSYCHOTIC YOUTH is still going on the offensive! We have released a new album "21" in 2019 and have already completed a new album. As in the previous album, the members are our senior Jorgen (vocals/guitar), Wolf (guitar/chorus), Kent (drums) who was a member of "SOME FUN" and "BE IN THE SUN", and Anders (bass) who was a member in the very early days of the band. The previous album was also a stable work. The previous album had a stable finish, but to be honest, it seemed to be a bit defensive or not aggressive enough to be PSYCHOTIC YOUTH, which is what the fans want. However, this album, in terms of the selection of cover songs and the variety of songs, is the very PSYCHOTIC YOUTH! In fact, YUM YUMS finished his new album "FOR THOSE ABOUT TO POP" during the recording of this album, and it seems that Jørgen's competitive spirit was turned on when he heard it.The show opened with "I'm Still Waiting," a power-pop tune right in the middle of a strike, followed by two danceable rock 'n' roll tunes reminiscent of the early psychedelic garage era that has recently been reevaluated, as well as a pop-punk tune bursting with PSYCHOTIC YOUTH verses and a fast-paced, outstanding pop-punk tune. The most impressive feature of the show was the selection of cover songs and the sense of arrangement. The album includes two covers, which surprised us with "Japanese Boy" in the past. The Swedish disco-pop song "Ten O'clock Postman" by SECRET SERVICE has been revived with a power-pop twist, and "Anxious Girl" by MESSENGERS is also featured! The artwork is by Niklas Wrangberg, who also worked on SONIC SURF CITY. PSYCHOTIC YOUTH, YUM YUMS, and SONIC SURF CITY, who used to be rivals, now play an outdoor festival together once a year, and I guess it is a synergy effect that they stimulate each other in a good way. That being said, SONIC SURF CITY is also currently working on a new album.Paper jacket, obi, lyrics translation included.
