According to Frank Bello and Charlie Benante, the album’s production involved repeated interruptions and reworks, including the scrapping of a large number of written songs to rewrite new ones, all in the name of a relentless pursuit of quality. As a result, this album marks the band’s first studio release in 10 years—the longest gap in their history. Recorded between 2023 and 2026, the album fuses the aggression of Anthrax’s classic era with a modern, heavy sound. Frank says, “They’re all just incredibly heavy and difficult to play.” Meanwhile, the band members are full of praise for Joey Belladonna’s vocals, calling them “incredibly amazing,” and they make no secret of their confidence in the album, which was completed after a long production period. At its core, it remains quintessential Anthrax-style thrash metal. Scott boldly declares that the tracks “are on par with—or even surpass—the classic songs from the *Among the Living* era,” which is simply irresistible for fans. The title is a Latin phrase meaning “My journey ends,” inspired by a plaque displayed at Marilyn Monroe’s home.
