Our Kiyoshiro lives on to this day. The journey to explore the origins of RC Succession begins anew Inspired by the upcoming release of a documentary film about him on October 2, All Days Records has planned a second installment of “Covers Kiyoshiro Imawano Loved” (ODR7390)—an album that has enjoyed long-term sales success since its release—from a fresh perspective. (Of course, there is absolutely no overlap in track selection with the previous release.) The album kicks off with Track 1, familiar from *The Blues Brothers*, and features a diverse flow that includes Track 5, where his love for The Beatles explodes; Tracks 17–19, which bring to mind his collaboration with Booker T. & the M.G.’s; and references to HIS and The Timers. The album concludes on a high note with the Rolling Stones’ cover of Otis Redding’s classic—best known for the MC line “Are You Loving Each Other?” Includes detailed liner notes (over 20,000 characters).
