T-Bone Walker's classic album, T-Bone Blues, is an essential piece of blues history, recorded between 1955 and 1957 and released on Atlantic Records in 1959. Walker's guitar sounds as if it is "singing," and his blend of traditional blues with a modern sensibility is a testament to the evolution of the blues style that Walker developed during his Imperial period in the early 1950s. M1 showcases Walker's masterful technique, as he performs with jazz guitarist Barney Kessel and his nephew, R.S. Rankin. The album also includes the jump blues classics M2 and M3, the melancholy M8, and a variety of other tunes. The album was produced in three different sessions, with the Chicago recording from 1955 featuring Junior Wells and Jimmy Rogers.Subsequent recordings were made in Los Angeles between 1956 and 1957, including M1, which was completed and complemented Walker's music by a group of top-notch musicians. T-Bone Blues" is an album filled with Walker's guitar and vocals, and the musicians who supported him. It is an album that should be savored at least once, even by those who are not blues fans.
