The first and second albums of Edie Gorme, one of the biggest names in show business in the U.S. and a national singer, are back! In real time, "Koi wa Bossa Nova" was covered by Azusa Michiyo and Katsuko Kanai, and in the 70's, Megumi Maoka sang it. Edie Gorme was the first singer to popularize this song. Her performance of the same song (1963) and her work with the trio Los Panchos have given the impression that she is a singer with a strong talent for rhythmic and exotic music, but this is only a small part of her character. This CD couples two of her albums, "Eydie Gorme" and "Eydie Swings the Blues" (1957), and offers the full range of her jazzy, swingy, and lyrical Eydie. In the former, Eydie sings with all her might with three different backing bands, while in the latter, she is supported by a large orchestra (jazz big band + string section) under the direction of Costa, who shows off his outstanding vocal ability.
