＜The 41st in the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" reissue series, supervised by Jimmy Masuko and presented by All Days Records, featuring South Africa's first super group, the A-Cads, and a collection of wild music from the region. The A-Cads, South Africa's first super-group! South Africa was a member of the British Commonwealth and had many British immigrants, but the country was criticized by the rest of the world for its apartheid policies and withdrew from the Commonwealth. However, for young people who did not have the right to vote, the government's policies were a burden, and music was the only entertainment that allowed them to feel freedom. The A-Cads, formed by members from three top Johannesburg bands, was South Africa's first supergroup, but after only seven months, two of the main members quit and the group ceased its activities. But what remains is a wildly appealing compilation of material from the A-Cads and their former members Johnny Kongos and the G-Men, Bill Kimber and the Couriers, the Upsetters, and John E. Sharpe and the Squires, all of whom are no less fascinating than the A-Cads. The Upsetters, and John E. Sharpe and Squires. Music selection, supervision and commentary by Jimmy Masuko.
