A duo unit of globally active musicians from South America and Japan, this is the fourth album in nine years. Recorded in 2023, this is the fourth album in nine years, and the ensemble has matured and matured over the 16 years since the start of their activities, and it is packaged with a vivid and vivid sound image. Dos Orientales was formed in 1986 after an encounter with Joyce, one of South America's leading female singers, and first performed together in Japan in 1995, and in 2007 began performing as "Dos Orientales. Since then, they have toured and performed in Japan and eight other countries, and have been invited to the Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto, the Jarasmu International Jazz Festival in Korea, and the Penang Island Jazz Festival. The "Musical Dialogue of Two Souls" by Uruguayan national star Hugo FATRUSSO, who will turn 82 this year, and Japan's Tomohiro Yahiro is a unique musical world that fuses diverse musical elements, including candombe, the soul music created by the African inhabitants of Montevideo, Latin music, and jazz. The band's fourth album, "ROMBO," to be released in May 2025, will continue to offer a high degree of freedom and a robust sound. Comment from Dos Orientales This fourth CD is a condensation of everything that Tomohiro and I have been cultivating with Dos Orientales since its formation in 2007, and the two tracks with Albana are also very nice. Gerardo Alonso, who did the editing and mixing in Uruguay, also contributed greatly to the sound of this album. (Hugo Fattoruso) The name of the fourth CD we are releasing, "ROMBO," was inspired by the image of diamonds and four diamonds. The release date is May 15, the day before the start of Dos Orientales Japan tour.
