The 4 Players Tokyo, a string quartet produced by conductor Yukio Fujioka, will finally make its CD debut. The quartet is a string quartet of virtuoso players born out of the music program "Enter the Music". The quartet was formed in 2019 at the invitation of Mr. Fujioka by a group of musicians including Tetsuo Tozawa (1st violin), Kanako Endo (2nd violin), Yonori Nakamura (viola), and Rinako Yaguchi (cello). The group performs works from various periods with the motto of introducing the charm of string quartet widely and delving deeply into its possibilities. On their debut album, "Voces Intimae," the quartet performs Beethoven's No. 4 (an impressive work written in the key of fate, C minor), as well as Janacek's No. 1 "Kreutzer Sonata" (a highly erotic and passionate work written in just nine days), which the quartet has performed since its founding. The program includes Janacek's first "Kreutzer Sonata" (an erotic and passionate work written in just nine days) and Sibelius' "Dear Voice" (Sibelius' masterpiece in five movements that is performed seamlessly). The high passionate performance created by the dense ensemble is a powerful performance that can only be heard live. This is a remarkable album that leaves no room for doubt about the future of this ensemble. The 4 Players Tokyo was born out of a music program that I host and conduct.We are very happy to see that the four top players from each orchestra continue to evolve wonderfully, and we are thrilled to see them at every concert. We have featured two pieces in particular, Sibelius and Janacek, many times since the formation of the orchestra. I am proud to say that this recording has great value because it is a wonderful masterpiece but is not well known. SONARE
