Description:
This is the seventh installment of MOTTAINAI SOUND, a project started in 2007 by Tatsumi Moritoki, a musician well known for his NHK radio late-night show "Scenic Music. Moritoki travels around Japan to record the sounds of the sea, mountains, towns, etc., and mixes them with the sounds of nature to create songs based on the scenery he sees and the feelings he has at that moment. This time, a total of nine songs were recorded, including Koyasan in Wakayama, Minamiuonuma in Niigata, Oirase in Aomori, Iki in Nagasaki, Onneto in Hokkaido, and Tiantai in China overseas. A variety of musicians also participated in the recording, including WeiWei Wuu (Erhu), Tadahide Yoshikawa (A.Gt), Toben Yukawa (Bass), and Hiroki Sugawara (Perc).
