Description:

Instrumental music, song, and folklore of the 21st century. Three composers, arrangers, and multi-instrumentalists who symbolize the "now" of South American music have come together to record this work in a complete trio formation, focusing on their own compositions. This is a miracle of three of the most advanced arrangers, multi-instrumentalists, and singers in both Brazil and Argentina, as well as on the South American continent, coming together in one place. The three musicians, who have naturally incorporated the essence of various types of music from classical, jazz, rock, and other genres, have been active in bringing the folklore of their home countries to life in the 21st century. In recent years, they have had the opportunity to perform together individually. After nearly four years of planning and preparation, the three members, who have had opportunities to perform together individually in recent years, gathered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in March 2017. They performed live as a trio at a spot popular for its cutting-edge instrumental programs, and then spent a week recording in a studio owned by Andre Memari. The trio recorded the entire performance by the three members, each making full use of a variety of instruments. The repertoire includes new compositions in addition to the representative songs of each member, as well as a delightful selection of covers from "Mercedes Sosa, Leon Gieco e Milton Nascimento: Corazón Americano," a monumental masterpiece from 1986 that documented the musical exchange between the two countries. The album is a milestone that will update the musical map of the South American continent. In the context of the creation of instrumental music and songs with a focus on acoustic instruments, this album will lead a new trend, and is sure to have various influences beyond the boundaries of South American music.
