The long-awaited first Blu-ray release of this marine adventure animation series, which depicts dolphins, boys and girls living on a small island in the South Sea, and their courageous lives in the midst of nature, has finally been released in unprecedented high definition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of its first broadcast! The entire film was remastered for Blu-ray using HD negative telecine from 35mm negative film, achieving an unprecedented high image quality! The first Japanese-French co-production between Aiken of Japan and France! The theme song "Kirakira Kirakira Taiyo" sung by Fuyumi Shiraishi, who voiced the role of Marina, also became very popular.
