Another classic album with some of the most killer tunes in terms of rare groove, including the popular jazz funk "Spreading Fever," which is the twin of "Bee Bop Boogie," is also back! This is one of Hilton's Concept's rarest early 1970s releases, and features members of the Blackbirds as well as a young Angela Winbush! The jacket of this early 1970s album features a private press photo of a happy family. The composition is similar to that of "A Man For All Reasons," with two members of the Blackbirds, Andrew White (saxophone), and a young Angela Winbush on vocals. The most interesting track is "Spreading Fever," which has also been cut as a 7-inch. The funky ad-lib exchanges between guitar, saxophone, and organ over an endlessly sticky, fat beat make this a supremely cool jazz funk track.Jazzy soul "The Power Of Love" with Angela Wimbush's superb vocals, the uplifting Jackson 5 cover "Never Can Say Goodbye," and the heartfelt, uplifting jazz funk "Family Reunion, A masterpiece full of Hilton Felton's rare groovy charm!
