Description:
This is a story of a great turnaround and educational revival that confronts the corrupt power that pervades Japanese education! TBS will broadcast "Mikami Sensei" in the Sunday theater slot for the January 2025 season. Takashi Mikami, an elite Ministry of Education bureaucrat who graduated from Tokyo University, became a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Education in the hope of "changing education in Japan" after an incident, but he finds that the reality is far from what he expected. The educational reforms that were intended to develop the ability to "think" are only in name, and instead of reforms, the central government of Japan is only concerned with its own self-preservation. Furthermore, they realize that even the field of education, where children dream of the future, has become a tool in the power struggle of adults. Under the newly established bureaucratic dispatch system, Mikami is transferred to a private high school. In effect, this is a leftward shift for an elite bureaucrat. However, Mikami decides that if he cannot change the system even if he is on the side of the creators, he should speak out from the frontline and destroy the system from within, so he takes the podium himself and stands up to the authorities while guiding 18-year-old high school students who live in the era of 2025. A "bureaucrat" and a "teacher" in the Ministry of Education will destroy Japanese education that has been corrupted by the power of the government! This is a story of educational revival in reverse! Music is by Shiro Sagisu, creator of the "Evangelion" series, "Shin Godzilla" and "Shin Ultraman". (From the manufacturer's information)
