A Brazilian brutal death metal band breaks a 13-year hiatus with their fourth full-length album, marking their full-fledged return. A ferocious masterpiece that has evolved into something even more brutal and powerful. Formed in 1998 within Brazil’s underground scene by Jhorge “Dog” Duarte (drums), Antonio Costa (guitar), Fabio Zperandio (bass), and Tiago Nunes (vocals). Their raw debut demo, “Opposite Monarchy,” released in 1999, led to a split release with Ancestral Malediction and garnered international attention after being included on “Brazilian Assault” (Relapse Records, 2000). They subsequently signed with Evil Vengeance Records and released their critically acclaimed debut album, “Anti-Evangelistic Process” (2002). The album was mastered by Eric Rutan. Following that, they released the EP “Misachristianthropy” (2003) via Deathgasm Records and embarked on a grueling 50-show European tour. This solidified their reputation as a ferocious live band. In 2006, after releasing several split albums, they signed with Forces of Satan Records (founded by Infernus of Gorgoroth). They performed at the Brutal Assault Festival and contributed to a compilation album. In 2008, they released their second full-length album, “Transmutation,” via Regain Records. This album further refined their technical brutality. After a 13-year hiatus, they returned in 2021 with a new lineup consisting of Jaime Veron (vocals), Diego Santiago (bass), and Fred Barros (guitars), releasing the single “Somehow.” In 2022, they joined Extreme Management Group Inc. (home to Suffocation and Cryptopsy), expanding their global reach. Recorded by Diego Santiago and mastered by Dan Swano, the new album “Serpent’s Verdict” marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band. [Specifications] • Direct import, domestic edition
