Hailing from Uppsala, Sweden, this five-piece melodic death metal band officially began activities in the mid-1990s. Their debut demo "The Final Chapter" in 1995 showcased their immense potential. Their second demo tape "In the Ashes of the Fallen" ranked on Sweden's top demo tape list in 1996. They signed with Pulverised Records and released their debut album in 1998, receiving critical acclaim and strong sales. In 2003, they released their second album, "The Ordeal," via Konqueror Records. This album showcased a more refined and complex compositional approach, blending intricate arrangements with the band's signature powerful melodies. Although they temporarily disbanded in 2004, their unwavering passion for music led to their reunion. In 2014, they faced the tragic loss of their talented singer Tobias Heidemann, yet they persevered, releasing the album "The Deluge" in 2016. This album received high praise from the metal press and earned acclaim within the melodic death metal community for its powerful songwriting and high sound quality. Now, they present their latest masterpiece, "Portentum." Each track possesses a unique atmosphere, yet the album maintains a cohesive whole.
