Meanwhile, Jan Langren is one of Scandinavia's foremost pianists, who gained fame as a prodigious young talent upon his debut. Since then, he has been one of the leading artists driving jazz not only in Sweden but across Europe, enjoying immense popularity in Japan as well. This project brings together Lasse Tunkvist and Jan Langren in a duet. Lasse and Jan share a long friendship, mutually recognizing each other's talent. Having nurtured the idea of a duet with Jan Lagren for many years, Lasse prepared timeless standards never before recorded for this project. ("Danny's Dream" and "Jill" are also featured on the album Very Swedish). A common musical thread flowing through both artists is the essence of Swedish folk music at their core.Both artists have actively embraced Swedish folk songs, each with hit albums to their name, cherishing their melancholic melodies.
